Our 5471 Print Merge software for international tax compliance merges data from any Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet (or any software application that can create a common text file) with IRS form 5471. The IRS forms and merged data are displayed in Adobe Acrobat Reader® where the merged data can be edited and the completed IRS form 5471 printed. Adobe Acrobat Reader is the industry standard for document reader software, and is available free for downloading from the Adobe web-site (www.adobe.com)

How it Works / Simple
Our 5471 Print Merge software uses Microsoft Excel Visual Basic ("macros") to create a data file that is merged with the Adobe Acrobat form files. To identify the data to be merged with IRS form 5471, you merely enter a "field code" in your international tax spreadsheet next to the cell you want to merge with the form. The data can be a value you entered or imported into the spreadsheet, text, or the results of a calculation. Your foreign subsidiary data does not need to be in a specific sequence or format, and can be located any place in the spreadsheet. Your international tax spreadsheet can be designed any way you want and can contain any type of calculations, formatting, etc. The only thing you need to do is enter the appropriate field code next to the item you wish to merge with IRS form 5471. The IRS form 5471 field codes are in a standard and easy to use format, so they can be entered quickly and easily in your international tax spreadsheets.
